As part of the external consultation process for the GFDRR 2025–2030 Strategy, we are reaching out directly to invite your institution to provide feedback on the draft strategy, which outlines GFDRR’s strategic priorities and operational direction for the next five years. The Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) is a global partnership managed by the World Bank that supports developing countries in understanding, managing, and reducing disaster and climate risks. GFDRR helps governments mainstream resilience into development planning and investments.

  • Does the strategy align with the global disaster risk management context, including key international frameworks and priorities, given GFDRR’s role as a World Bank-managed multi-donor partnership?
  • Do the strategic objectives focus on the areas where GFDRR can provide the most value—particularly through analytics and advisory services that support countries in making informed policy and investment decisions?
  • Does the results framework clearly demonstrate how GFDRR’s upstream activities contribute to tangible disaster risk management outcomes at the country level?
