In June 2014, a team of specialists from the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) and the World Bank Group worked with stakeholders in Can Tho to identify the priority actions and investments that will enhance the city’s resilience to these current and future challenges. They explored options to transform planned or aspirational projects into initiatives that will also enhance the city’s resilience. As the socio-economic engine of the Mekong Delta, Can Tho plays multiple important roles in promoting the well-being of its residents and the regional population.
