The FY20 Activity Report of the ACP-EU NDRR Program highlights the continued efforts of ACP countries and regional organizations to integrate resilience to disaster risk and climate change into development planning at local, national and regional levels.
As a testament to the value offered by the Program’s services in a health emergency, many participating countries have sought to augment their national pandemic responses by pairing them with ongoing activities implemented by the Program. In FY20, the Program also saw significant interest from cities in strengthening their resilience to disaster risk and climate change by improving urban infrastructure and urban development policies.
This comes in addition to the Program’s continued disaster response assistance, ranging from post-disaster assessments to longer-term recovery activities.
